2017 Seniors Card Discount Directory out now

More than 360,000 Seniors Card members can access more discounts than ever before with the launch of the 2017 directory.

The 2017 Seniors Card Discount Directory, Your Lifestyle Guide, is now available to South Australian Seniors Card members.

The directory contains discounts from over 700 businesses including travel, home and garden, professional services, retail and recreational activities.

Seniors Card members have the opportunity to win a $10,000 holiday by participating in an online survey which will be used to better inform programs, policies, and initiatives led by Seniors Card and Office for the Ageing.

Background

Permanent South Australian residents aged over 60 and working less than 20 hours per week in paid employment are eligible to receive a Seniors Card.

Seniors Card members can get a copy of Your Lifestyle Guide from one of 400 collection points across South Australia, including The Catalyst Foundation, or their local council, Member of Parliament’s office, library or community centre.

In addition to discounts from the business community, Seniors Card members are entitled to free travel on Adelaide Metro public transport services on weekends and public holidays and during off peak on weekdays.

To go in the draw to win a holiday package from Australian Holiday Centre and Seniors Coach Tours visit www.sa.gov.au/seniorscard and complete the Seniors Card member survey before 31 March 2017.

Further information about the Seniors Card program can be found at www.sa.gov.au/seniorscard or contact the Seniors Card Unit, Office for the Ageing by emailing seniorscard@sa.gov.au or phoning 1800 819 961 (freecall).

The 2017 directory helps South Australian seniors to get out and about within their community, which is what the Seniors Card program is all about.

We know that older people enjoy getting involved in their community and every discount offered to Seniors Card members can help them explore new things like try out a new hobby, learn a second language or visit somewhere new.

Providing hundreds of discounts to more than 360,000 Seniors Card members would not be possible without the support of our generous business partners.

An online version of the directory is also available, which features interactive functions for easy navigation to each business partner’s website.

The directory includes some stunning photographs submitted by Seniors Card members as part of this year’s Through the Lens, the annual Seniors Card photographic competition and exhibition.
